Chrono Trigger Remake to Include Monster-Battling Mini-game
Possible Addition of Crack Cocaine Rumored
by Raccoonacorn

It's safe to say Square-Enix had Chrono Trigger fans sold from the minute they announced a DS remake. After already assuring us hours of handheld entertainment, Squeenix has gone a step further and dropped the bomb. Being the benevolent RPG-masters they are, they have decided to add a monster catching/battling game into the mix as well.
Yes, an already stellar, time-tested RPG is being buffed by the addition of one of the most addictive and time-sucking genres ever. Ars Technica had this to say:
...according to recent postings from several online retailers, it looks like Squeenix will also be adding a fairly substantial monster battling mini-game. The game will feature more than 50 different monsters who can be leveled up and pitted against one another. The game will also support wireless play so you can battle with friends, Pokemon style.
Good Game, Square-Enix. G F-ing G.
It sounds legit, but hasn't been 100% confirmed by Square-Enix yet. What do you guys think of this change to a classic RPG?
