Let's Play Soldier

Every now and then we get the urge to play some old games. We're talking NES, SNES, Gensis old here. So we sit down, pick out something that looks like it has potential (to be awesome or horrible) and start riffing.
Today we play Universal Soldier for the Super Nintendo. It's kind of like Universal Healthcare only with decidedly less health and disctintly more Dolph Lundgren.

Awww - I thought this game was good. It is, after all, a modified version of a Turrican game. And Super Turrican on SNES, or Mega Turrican on Genesis, is pretty cool - albeit with most of the frustrations that Universal Soldier has. And more robotic bees.

Vinsanity - we got school on Gametrailers for not having any knowledge that it was a Turrican port! Our issue was probably just hopping right into the gameplay without any instructions on how to play/back story of the game's history. Still, a ridiculous movie deserves a ridiculous game.
