Fallout 3 Developers Comment On Newest DLC
Let's face it - we're all gluttons for Fallout news. We devour it, we overanalyze the screenshots, and (if you are like me) you ponder all the new and exciting things you will discover in The Wastelands during each return. To satisfy that hunger for al things post-apocalyptic, G4 has posted an interview about the upcoming (and probably most-impactful) DLC addition to their much-heralded RPG, Broken Steel.
Adam Sessler’s interview with Producer Todd Howard and Lead Designer Emil Pagliarulo discusses the tricky business of extending the main quest of a game with a clear ending, as well as things like level caps, increasing statistics over 100, and even a comparison to some of Oblivion’s DLC. Commenting on on extending the original story by altering the ending, Producer Todd Howards stated, "For better or worse it feels very natural, and it almost feels in some like that's the way it should have been."
Kudos, Todd, on stepping up and admitting that even though you guys didn't do it right the first time you aren't afraid to go back and fix your mistakes. That's a refreshing business move.
In addition to the Producers' comments on their own revisionist history, the video showcases some new enemies, locales, and mission footage. It's all very cool stuff, and makes me even more excited for a DLC pack I was surely going to purchase anyway.
How about you guys; does this get you guys hyped for Broken Steel?!
