Hmm... why are Super Metroid and Castlevania so low on the list? And near Oblivion btw... yuck! that game shouldn't even have made the list, I can think of many other games that could have taken that spot. And no Dragon Quest/Warrior titles? How does Tekken 2 beat Soul Calibur?
Comments
Oblivion shouldn't have made the list?... Right... Maybe Tekken 2 is higher than Soul Calibur because SC1 is that great. (Opinion, of course)
Come on. No Perfect Dark? You have Goldeneye! You have God of War but no Kingdom Hearts? And WHERE THE FUCK is Gears of War 1? This list IS BULLSHIT.
Anyway, about HALF of the titles actually belong there.
I'm sure throughout the course of the day, I'll be thinking of games that SHOULD be there. Silly Eurogamer, you know nothing.
I like how GTA Vice City and San Andreas are both listed on here and they're basically the same friggin' game. And Orange Box? You can't put game collections! If you're going to put game collections you might as well put in one of the Sega Collections instead of Gunstar Heroes!
Shit like this reminds me how bogus Guiness is. This list is worse than Vh1's top metal songs.
Sorry Riphade, but I tend to compare Oblivion to other PC RPGs (being that's where the series started) and as such, Elder Scrolls IV: My First RPG sucks the big one.
ES II: Daggerfall & ES III: Morrowind were much better games overall.
I guess as a console game it's a pretty fun action/adventure game. Still, top 50? You probably mentioned a few other games that could have taken that spot.
Oh and Goldeneye is actually is # 10 on the list.
Dominic, aren't all the GTAs the same game? Heh.
I really didn't like Morrowind, but then again, I played it on Xbox. I never had a PC that'll run those games, and I'd prefer console... Always.
I see it's #10. That's fine. I'm just saying where the hell is Perfect Dark?
(I wasn't saying YOU, I meant you as in Eurogamer. Sorry for the confusion.)
Anyway, I still say this list is very sad and broken.
actually one of the better lists I've seen, some don't belong obviously, but what can you do
Where's your source link, son? Either to Eurogamer or Guinness? I only ask because I remember reading a list like this associated with the title "50 Most Influential Games of All Time" which by definition, has much different parameters than top 50 games of all time....
