No doubt you've probably heard by now the rumors of the Dreamcast 2.
I have it from official channels (can't reveal my source) that with the money Sega earned from Valkyria Chronicles it will be releasing a limited edition (20 units) Dreamcast 2 system.
Sources revealed that the "2" will be removable so that you can call it "Dreamcast 2" or "2 Dreamcast" for ultimate customobilityness.
In addition to being packaged with a scaled down version of Valkyria Chronicles, it will ONLY play Dreamcast titles BUT has a slot for those old Sega Master system cards and is backward compatible with the Sega Megadrive discs (limited compatibility though, so far only Night Trap & Kris Kross: Make My Video are compatible).

20 units? The price of the system due to rarity would be easily above 1000$, if not 1500$.
I don't see the point of making a console that'll be nothing than a collector's item.
Why would you remove the "2" to make it "2 Dreamcast?" Anybody else not getting this?
As much as I'd like a real Dreamcast 2, I don't see this happening; too many holes in that rumour.

Also, only the Night Trap title will be compatible, Kris Kross were asking for too much money and financial support for their upcoming reunion tour.

These rumors have already be disproven, a very time ago.

Didn't they make a sequel to a movie from the 80's or 90's recently? Why not just hope that it's good? Oh well. I am with Sarah, however, because this has to be fake.

But, *ahem*, disguised in my fake news was a commentary on the state of the industry. Seems like Valkyria Chronicles wasn't a huge commercial success even though it received glowing reviews. Can Sega catch a break sometime? Maybe?

I think the "2 Dreamcast" thing is supposed to display some sort of infinitive. Like "to cast dreams", but I don't believe this yet. Unless it's cited, not many are going to buy this story.
