gaming shouldn't just be about "MY___ is bigger than yours" it should be about playing really awesome and innovative titles and games that are a pleasure to play as opposed to suffering through something in the name of the "I win Game." to me, that is an example of "You Lose" if you ask me...

Why would anyone want to suffer through jumper... I saw that trainwreck... and it was the antithesis of enjoyable

Cause some people like to have a higher than average GamerScore ;]

Besides, when you need a break from your 16 hour session of Gears, Lost Odyssey, etc. You should go whore your score.

And even more, sometimes when you're playing those looooong games that hardly give you GS, you just need a pop-up now and again.

    I agree with Banana.

sorry never experienced a 16 hr gamer session period... too busy in the real world... working, enjoying life, loving living with the man that i love

spending time enjoying those parts of my life are much more enjoyable than picking up a game that sucks cuz i have nothing better to do but pretend that i am really good at something because i know how to cheat the system

so what your saying is a game that just gives achievements for play through isnt good enough if it doesn't move quick enough to move your score... and that your gamer score is the equivalent of a junkie needing a fix... well i guess the whoring comparison works after all...

Well I don't appreciate you saying the fact that me caring about my GamerScore is the equivalent of a junkie fix. I'm sharing this with others that might be trying to get a bigger GS with ease. And the fact that you're being condescending is fucked up. I'm sorry that my life isn't as extravagant as yours and I don't have anyone who loves me like "your man" loves you. Also, I don't have much in life. I'm sorry I'm living in Jersey with family, rather than my mother in Philly, and the only thing I have my Xbox and my guitar. Thanks for shitting on something I like to do, and the fact that I'm sharing it with others.

I'll be sure to alert you next time I decide to share something with others ON A GAMING SITE!

Wits & Wagers XBLA has easy ones (dancing!!!) and you mom will buy it for you 'cause she can play it.

I never really like Wits & Wagers. I just didn't get into it. Not to mention the weird bodies freak me out, lol.

@ Banana....Riphade is not telling you to buy these games for the achievements, he is just giving people a list of games that could boost their score. It's more like a friendly gesture for achievement whores, and this is "a gaming site" so this article is acceptable. Just let it go cause I know a couple people who would kill for this list lol!

  • Sarah
    Sarah

Oh man, I know some achievement whores that will love this!!

Personally, I like achievements in my favorite games because they increase the replay value by giving me new challenges and goals to achieve. And I'm not gonna lie, there's something very satisfying about hearing that "achievement unlocked" sound effect.

That being said... with games like Avatar, sure, you can get 1000 points in 20 minutes, but what are you really achieving? Your friends can look at your played games and see that you didn't really earn those points, because by now everyone knows about that. Just my opinion, carry on.

  • Riphade
    Riphade

Thank you Pimp and Sarah. This list is merely a list to help raise your GS. I'm not telling you guys to go out and buy them. I'm just saying that, if you have free time, go ahead and raise your GS. Also, I'm not saying for you guys to NOT play games you like because the GS is hard, just take a break, earn extra points. Hear that lovely "Achievement Unlocked" sound, and move on.

  • Riphade
    Riphade

Oh and Sarah. Tell your friends about this. It'll give them a reason to join this site ;] That is, if they haven't already.

Achievements are "The Xbox Live Game," where you compete with all your friends, and play different games to compete. Nothing wrong with that. Thanks for the list.

What about PS3 Trophies! Huh, huh!?

    Anybody.....?

This list is fracking awesome. I also have a "life" outside of gaming, and yet find myself a total whore for Achievement points.

  • Riphade
    Riphade

Yes, I'm sorry Ninja. You are alone. I don't care to own a PS3, lol. But honestly the whole "trophy" thing is in bad taste (IMO). Sony is trying to copy Microsoft... And that's not cool. BTW, I'm not trying to sound like a dick. I just sometimes have a hard time putting my thoughts into words, lol.

P.S. Thank you Coop and Sean for the appreciation of my list :]
