Bungie's Billionth

Halo 3 Hits 1 Billion Matches

by Riphade

While there are PLENTY of multiplayer orientated games out there, Halo is, if not the top, one of the top games. To prove that, last Saturday at 9:36 EST in an Infection match, the 1 billionth match was played. Not even Halo 2 has that many clocked in.

Here at Bungie's website, they have listed in greater detail how much time that REALLY is. If you go by the 3 minute and 19 seconds that the Infection match lasted, that would equal 630 decades, or 2,300,000 days! Over 6,300 years of play! That's ridiculous.

Just another reason why Halo is awesome. That, and teabagging, lol.

I would take one Valve multiplayer game over any number of Halo matches, thank you very much. The design in Left 4 Dead and TF2 is so much more fun than anything Halo ever did. And by "did" I mean "ripped off" from other, better games

Oh, and I don't know who's doing Bungie's math, but 630 decades does not equal 64,000 years. One decade is 10 years. They're about as good at math as the CFOs of AIG! Woah! How topical of me!

Sorry sean, but pull the "overly hyper" panties out of the bunch. I mistyped it. I meant 6,300 years. I wrote that cause, if you look at the article, later on they talk about 64,000 years ago. So calm down nerdly.

There's always a Halo hater in the bunch. "OMG liek Gaylo stolez somethin from another gamez". What did they steal smarty pants? The FPS view, a shotgun, or the fact that there's aliens, lol! Gears 2 stole the Spiker from Halo, no one said anything about that.

It's okay though. Cause people who hate on Halo are usually the one's who can't play it for shit.
