We call him the "Holiday Rapist" now.
I remember when retail and restaurants got this kicked in their faces by people getting offended by the words "Merry" and "Christmas." I was raised with the respect enough for all the holidays that I would say whichever holiday that it seemed the people I was saying it to, it would be good for them. Plus I'd get it right back. This whole "Politically Correct" system we have these days makes it near-impossible to say anything without offending someone.
If I say "Merry Christmas" you'd better reply just the same!
Better reply just the same? If people say "happy chanukah" or "happy kwanzaa" would you reply the same?

Actually, if someone said "Happy Hanukkah" to me, I'd probably say, "I'm actually for Christmas, but Happy Hanukkah to you".
Merry Chrismahanukkwanzaakah to everyone. Except Hindus. I don't know what to say to them in December.
How about this? Say whatever the hell you want. It's not just one holiday. Don't get offended when somebody says something else either. Different people, different beliefs, get over yourself if you believe otherwise.
I don't get being offended by "Happy Holidays". Nor do I understand the small mindedness of saying, "If I say Merry Christmas, you'd better say it back!"
If a Muslim greeted you with "Allah akbar." would you respond in kind?
