2K Boston Looking For PS3 Programmers
What Could This Possibly Mean?!
by Sarah
For those who do not know the name 2K Boston, you have not yet spent enough time in Rapture. The team’s last big project was 2007 Gamervision Game of the Year Bioshock, a 360/PC shooter almost universally beloved by gamers. Now it appears that they are looking for PS3 programmers to join their team.
For the position of Tools Programmer, “PS3 and production experience using Python or Ruby will be highly regarded.” As for the Senior Console Programmer, “Experience with PS3 development is highly desirable.”
What is the meaning of all this? You don’t think that 2K Boston wants to start making PS3 games, do you? We don’t know anything yet, but wild speculation is always fun. Now, let’s start taking bets on whether or not Bioshock 2 is coming out for the PS3. Or maybe just a late, late port of Bioshock! I know they already said "NO" to that repeatedly, but I'm speculating here. Anyway, this sounds awesome, Sony fans. You’ll have something to play in the next two to five years, sit tight.

I would like to see what Bioshock 2 would play out like on PS3, it might be interesting....
The fact that it isn't mandatory for the position leads me to believe it is "just in case."
I hear the analog sticks on PS3 aren't so great from my brother who owns one - but that's all semantics. Would still like to see this game on the PS3 as it should be available to as many people as possible.
