A Gamer's Letter to Santa
I've Been Pretty Good This Year...

Dear Santa,
Hello, old friend! How is the North Pole? I bet it’s cold. Anyway, you can probably guess why I’m writing this: it’s that time of year again! Now, before you go complaining about how heavy those systems are that I’m always asking for, relax. I’m not asking for any consoles this year. I already have them all! In fact, the things I want aren’t available in any store. But you can make them all happen because of all that magic you have, right? Awesome. Let’s just get right down to it.
1. A Final Fantasy VII Remake
I’ve asked for this before, but maybe I just wasn’t nice enough to get it. Even if a PS3 remake is out of the question, I’d still be thrilled with a PSP port, inferior graphics and everything. Getting to take that game with me everywhere I go would make my whole year.
2. More PS1 Games on the PlayStation Network
Jumping Flash is great and all, but the PS1 library is huge and full of wonderful games. I would love to have more of them downloaded to my PS3, especially since I can also play them on my PSP that way. Come to think of it, you could fulfill my first wish if you do this, too. All of the PS1 Final Fantasy games on the PSN? Perfect!
3. Bring some foreign exclusives over to the U.S.
How come Japan gets so many games that we don’t? I feel like we’re missing out sometimes. They also get way more color variations on systems. I’m pretty sure there’s several thousand DS and PSP colors available over there. Why not here? Also, I need the Persona 3 sequel on our shores, ASAP-style.
4. Another Maniac Mansion Sequel
Preferably one that includes more characters from the original game (sorry Bernard, but you’re no Razor) and the same twisted humor and unforgiving gameplay style. Hey, you don’t learn until you’ve accidentally blown yourself up a few times.
5. Wii Games!
When I first got my Wii, I was thrilled. I still love it, but play it far less. Why? Lack of quality games. I know the system is capable of so much more than the crappy third-party titles being pumped out, so let’s have them!
Now that’s not so bad, is it? I know you can make it all happen. You should find my name on the nice list, anyway. (Shooting all those darts at everyone isn’t going to count against me, right?) Happy holidays!

what about a fresh new IP from Square that wasn't thrown together to cash in on previous franchises or old, dead franchises?
I wouldn't say no to that either.
