Alyssa Milano Replacing Sigourney Weaver in Ghostbusters Game
Former Melrose Place Star to Voice New Character

Sigourney Weaver will not be reprising her role from Ghostbusters in the upcoming video game. Instead, her character has been written out, and a new female lead is introduced: Dr. Ilyssa Selwyn, a curator at New York City’s Natural History Museum. Selwyn will be voiced by Alyssa Milano, perhaps best known for her role as Jennifer Mancini for 40 episodes of Melrose Place. Yup, that’s definitely what she’s best known for. Shut up.
There was no additional information available, but I’d guess Ilyssa Selwyn’s going to be an extraordinarily pretty curator, especially with such an extraordinarily pretty lady voicing her. At any rate, the game comes out in less than three months, so it won’t be long until you’re hearing Alyssa Milano’s voice. Unless you plan to spend the time until the game’s launch watching Who’s The Boss reruns on Nick at Nite.

Does anyone know how they plan on writing Weaver's character out, or if they just won't mention her at all? I think I would prefer them not even mentioning Weaver's character, I'd hate to hear she drowned in slime or something crazy like that

Holy shit, vodka and ecto cooler. That may be the 21st century innovation of the screwdriver for which we have all been waiting.
Although I love Alyssa Milano as much as the next guy, I'm still sad that there's going to be an addition to the Ghostbusters storyline that doesn't include Sigourney Weaver.
