Atlus Expands Demon's Souls Pre-Order Goodies to Face Importers

Your Patience Will Be Rewarded

by Sarah

Ever since brutal but unique action RPG Demon’s Souls was released in Japan earlier this year, the game has gotten a ton of good buzz, with PS3 owners finally having a hardcore role-playing experience to get excited about it. Atlus will be publishing the game in North America later this year, but some gamers just don’t want to wait, and have been importing copies from overseas. To thwart importers and reward patient North American gamers, Atlus is rewarding those who wait by adding even more bonus goodies to Demon’s Souls.

Atlus, “defenders of the macro-transaction (i.e., pay once, get everything)”, added a 24-song soundtrack to the previously announced art book, both of which serve as gifts to those who pre-order the game. Though there will be both standard and deluxe editions of Demon’s Souls, both versions are eligible for these extras. As a reminder, the deluxe edition comes with a strategy guide and collectible slipcase for only ten dollars more than the price of the standard edition. It really will pay off to wait for Demon’s Souls, so if you were considering going the import route, just hold your horses until the North American release this October.
