Teaser sites are all the rage for big gaming reveals these days, but a lot of the time they seem counterproductive. By the time the countdown ends and the mystery is cleared up, the information has already been deduced or leaked by the razor sharp gaming community. The same is true of the new teaser site put up by publisher Atlus, which has a bunch of scrambled tiles with some sort of image hidden behind them. The internet banded together to find the image seen above, as well as a title hidden in source code, which is Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey when translated from Japanese. There’s also the number “10.08”, which seems to hint at a Japanese release date of October 8.

Could this be the much-wanted next-gen Shin Megami Tensei game? Or is it something else entirely? The official Atlus reveal isn’t supposed to come until July 24, so I guess we’ll have to wait until then to find out more... or will we? Get to work, internets!
