It's been an unusually busy Tuesday morning, but none of the news that has broken thus far today compares to this: according to the OFLC, which is the Australian version of the ESRB (insert Australia joke here), Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse - Episode 1: The Penal Zone is coming somewhere, at some time. Let's freak out!

Aside from a few rumors that Sam & Max: Season Three would be coming in 2010, we haven't heard much from the freelance police duo recently, other than their 2009 jump to the Xbox Live Arcade. I can only imagine that The Devil's Playhouse is what Telltale Games is calling the third season of the episodic point and click adventure, and it falls into the category of "computer games", though I think that may be how the OFLC refers to all video games. It also has an Australia rating of PG, with "Mild violence and coarse language", which sounds about right for the canine and hyperkinetic rabbity-thing. Here's the bottom line: I'm excited, and I want more. Make an announcement, Telltale! I need more of these guys in my life!

Sorry I lost my cool for a second. It was very unprofessional. Needless to say, we'll be hanging onto every bit of information that is released about the next season of Sam & Max. Hey, is this the first time someone has written a positive article about the OFLC?
