With Brütal Legend developer Double Fine fighting Activision's nonsense lawsuit with a countersuit, things are finally getting moving in the whole judiciary process. Today, Activision's request that Brütal Legend be delayed was rebuffed by a tentative ruling. Formal motions won't begin until August 6, but apparently the Los Angeles judge residing on the case believes that Activision doesn't have "a likelihood of success." Ooh, burn!

In all seriousness, I really hope justice prevails and Activision's cock-blocking lawsuit is thrown out of court in the near future. I also hope that Brütal Legend then goes on to sell a million billion copies, solves world hunger, and cures most major diseases. Okay, how about if it's just a really great game that does well financially and allows Double Fine to continue making awesome products? That would be cool too.
