Justice prevailed today as an L.A. court totally faced Activision at the hearing for the ongoing Brütal Legend trial. Though the details of the settlement have not been revealed, it is being reported that the Double Fine game is free and clear to meet its Rocktober release date. Rock!

We'll keep you posted when we find out exactly what went down in court today, assuming anyone talks about the settlement. I honestly wasn't all that worried about the fate of Brütal Legend, since from my non-legal standpoint Activision didn't have a leg to stand on, but it's still good to hear that a judge agrees. Now, Activision, if you could keep the petty lawsuits at bay and focus on publishing video games, that would be swell.
