Last week, Fable II Pub Games became available on the Xbox Live Arcade, and gamers who reserved Fable II eagerly downloaded the Pub Games and starting making some cash. Okay, maybe not "eagerly", but maybe if they didn't have anything better to do. Anyway, as it turns out, it may be easier to get rick quick in Fable II than Peter Molyneux envisioned, thanks to a bug in the "Fortune's Tower" mini-game. According to Wired, it works like so:

"All you need to do is bet the lowest amount before you deal cards (15 chips), and then immediately hit the left bumper after you select "Deal." This will max out the bet, but the only amount taken out of your pot is the initial 15.

I've been able to replicate this in all of the Fortune's Tower games I've played -- you eventually unlock new tables that allow higher bets -- as well as in the tournament mode. And yes, I'm racking up quite a bit of gold, thank you."

Oopsies! I can't imagine Lionhead Studios will be letting this bug stay out there too long. Still, this is good news for, you know, cheaters. I got my download code from GameStop last week, but haven't even gotten around to playing the Pub Games yet. Of course, I'd rather earn money the way I did in the first Fable: killing the dealer of every card game and every player at the table before taking the loot for myself. What? At least I don't cheat.
