Cammie Dunaway Knows You're Disappointed in Nintendo
But Still Kind of Misses the Point
by Sarah

Remember Nintendo’s E3 Press Conference? Pretty disappointing stuff, right? Yeah, Nintendo dropped the ball big time, pretty much pissing off and alienating all of the lifelong gamers who have been supporting them since the early 1980s. Between the anticlimactic announcement of Wii Music and the awkward Wii Sports Resort matches between Reggie Fils-Aime and Cammie Dunaway, it was a really bad day to be a Nintendo fan.
Well, at least Nintendo knows that they’ve let gamers down, at least according to puppy-loving Cammie Dunaway. In an interview with VGChartz, she says that Nintendo is just as disappointed in their own performance at E3 as fans were. In fact, she promises that “as head of sales and marketing… I’m listening to the fans. I’m championing the things they care about. I’m helping to make sure we bring great games to the market place.” Great! Does that mean we’re going to see Nintendo do a 180 anytime soon and put out some games the “core” gamers actually care about? Uh, not quite.
“There were titles like Wario which we think will be really fun titles that we should have show cased. We were excited that Mr. Miyamoto made the commitment that Pikmin is coming. It would have been nice if we could have said that on stage. But, we think it was a good recognition for us that we care for our core fans, and not just the new people who are now discovering Nintendo.”
Huh. Wario and Pikmin, huh? That’s all you’ve got up your sleeve? And after that, you still think that you showed, in any regard, that you care about more than the extremely casual gamer? Oh, Nintendo, you just don’t quite get it. Either that, or you have so much damn money that you just don’t care.

what a load of crap.. you care about the fans so here are more games that suck, but we know idiots around the world will buy. Oh and we will shove another mario game down your throat, not like he has not been in every wii game to date...
I really, really, really want to like Nintendo and the fact that I have a Wii but stuff like this makes it harder and harder. Screw Wario and Pikman! Just gimme a damn lightsaber game with MotionPlus... that's all we've been asking for in the last two years.
