Dead Rising 2 is a sequel that most of us have been looking forward to for as long as it has been announced, but the game has also been plagued with delays. After missing its initial release windows, and then appearing that it wouldn't be out this summer, either, I began to wonder if Dead Rising 2 would even see the light of day in 2010. Rest assured, Capcom announced a new releases date this morning, and it is indeed in 2010: September 28. The wait might be a bit longer than anticipated, but by autumn another zombie apocalypse will begin.

Capcom didn't say much else in their release date email, other than reminding us that the protagonist, Chuck Greene, would be facing off against thousands of zombies in the gambling-happy Fortune City. I'd also like to remind everyone who didn't listen to us that this isn't too far off from the late August date we claimed the game would be hitting months ago. Okay, our information was off by a few weeks, but we'll find out if it was worth the wait by the end of September.
