E3 08: Wii Sports Resort Coming Next Spring
Better Motion-Sensing, More Fun
by Sarah

Another piece of news from Nintendo's Press Conference (and less surprising than their last announcement, GTA: Chinatown Wars): a follow-up to Wii Sports is coming to the Wii next spring. Known as Wii Sports Resort, the game will make use of the new Wii MotionPlus to make the motion-sensing sports fun even better than before.
The demo shown at the conference showed frisbee tossing, jet ski racing, and sword fighting, and I must admit, it looks like fun. I can't wait to see what other sports will be included on this game. It may not have been their biggest announcement, but hey, it should be entertaining.

I'm gonna have my own medieval times reenactments in my living room. Jousting to the death!
Watching Reggie and that woman play actually helped me understand why Nintendo is losing my interest. It's run by people who have no understanding of video games.
I love how they've just realized that Wii Sports is just about the only thing good on the Wii that actually uses the gimmicky controls. "Oh, hell, we'd better make another one. And we'll ignore online play again."
The jousting part sounds like a lot of fun! But I can see myself getting to into it .. you know what they say: it's all fun in games until someone gets a wiimote to the eye.
