I was planning to spend this pre-E3 Saturday packing and taking care of last minute preparations, but I actually feel like I'm already at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Pre-E3 news has been leaking out all day, the latest of which is an E3 trailer for an upcoming Square Enix project, NIER. The trailer accompanies a new website, which, interestingly for a Square Enix game, comes with an age gate. Hmmm, a dark, non-RPG Squenix title? Intriguing.

According to the website, NIER is an action-adventure title with a "rich, twisting storyline of a world plagued by human anguish, buried secrets, and a ravaging disease." The fighting seems to consist of chain attacks and magical powers, and it all takes place in an immersive world.

I can dig the premise, but I want to know more. As luck would have it, Gamervision will be at E3 all next week, getting all the impressions we can handle. Expect to hear more shortly.
