It appears that Ubisoft is indeed fulfilling their vow to no longer focus on first-person shooters, as their attention has already shifted to their next big game. They announced today that Emergency Heroes, a driving game with an open city and "the next generation of rescue vehicles", will be heading to the Wii this May. The game will also feature amazing two player co-op and family fun!

Okay, maybe I'm being a little too hard on Ubisoft here. After all, this game has got to be better than Nitrobike... right? Right? I could continue to pick apart the press release, or you could just read it for yourselves. Full release below.

SAN FRANCISCO - March 31, 2008 - Today Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers, announced that it will publish Emergency Heroes exclusively on the Wii(TM) home video game system from Nintendo. Developed by Ubisoft Reflections and Ubisoft Barcelona, Emergency Heroes is an open world rescue driving game. Young rescuers can jump into 16 different variations of next-generation rescue vehicles as a police officer, firefighter or EMT and navigate through the sprawling streets of San Alto, keeping citizens safe along the way. Emergency Heroes will be available in North America in May 2008.
