Fable II DLC Dated
Sooner Than I Expected
by Sarah

When the Knothole Island Fable II DLC was delayed last month, I was actually relieved. I hadn’t even finished the game yet, and was so behind on my stack of 2008 games that I knew there would be no way in hell I’d have time for more. I finally beat Fable II over the long New Year’s weekend, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. In fact, I almost wanted to go back and play it again, but I told myself I would wait until the DLC came out. Finally, I thought, I would have time to play other games that I missed from 2008, like Prince of Persia and Mirror’s Edge!
Nope. No time whatsoever. Lionhead Studios announced today that the Knothole Island DLC will be available on January 13, which gives me exactly five days to do everything else I wanted to do before I get sucked into the world of Albion again. The DLC will be 800
, or ten dollars, which isn’t too bad at all. There will also be a free update on the same day, which according to the Lionhead blog will deliver all kinds of presents:
The free update will grant players a handful of gifts from the fine people of Knothole Island and will enable those who haven't purchased Knothole Island downloadable content to continue the co-op action with their friends. Some of the fun items include: Knight's Boots, Assassins Gloves, a special Weight Loss Potion, a collectible silver book and more. The update will also enable players to check their standing in over 50 new Leaderboards on Lionhead.com.
Hey, I need that weight loss potion; my hero has been hitting the pies and is getting to be somewhat chubby. Is anyone else getting the DLC, or am I the only one excited about it?

I'm definitelty getting it. I need an excuse to play this game again!
I'm excited!
I need to finish the story sooner or later. I have some time because of a job falling through for a second week. So that means I've got plenty of time to play some games.
