Guess what, Final Fantasy fans! Did you think chocobos were interesting? Well, I’ve got some news that’s going to quite literally blow your minds. This Friday—also known as Friday the 13th—Square Enix is going to announce something related to Final Fantasy XIII. Yes, we are just three days away from some sort of information! Clear your freaking calendars and prepare to spend the entire day on the internet, refreshing Gamervision over and over until Squenix’s big news pops up.

Okay, you’re right, the announcement of an impending announcement is not really that exciting at all. Give me a break, it’s a slow news day. Also, that means we have three whole days of speculation ahead of us. Here’s my best guess: Final Fantasy XIII will be getting a North American release date on Friday. GameStop has it listed as shipping on June 21, 2010, but there’s no way of knowing if that is just a placeholder or not. Friday’s news could also be Square Enix bringing the super pretty FFXIII PS3 bundle to North America. I may already have a PS3, but that doesn’t mean I can’t keep my options open—and that special PS3 is a nice option. Or we can go the other extreme—Final Fantasy XIII delayed! FFXIII to be Xbox 360 exclusive in North America! FFXIII to ship on 21 discs! Oh man, I could do this all day.
