Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Coming to Blu-ray
It's Not Exactly the Remake I Asked For, But I'll Take It

This is what I don’t really get about Square-Enix. They know we love Final Fantasy VII. They know we can’t get enough. They know that if they were ever to release a remake of the PS1 classic, we would eat it up. So why can’t they just give it to us?
Well, the remake is still a vague rumor that will likely never actually see the light of day. The good news is, we will see Cloud and Sephiroth on the PS3 next year, in the form of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, which is coming to Blu-ray. The popular film based on the FFVII story has already had several DVD releases (if I remember correctly, there’s both a special edition and a limited edition), but knowing that we’ll buy anything with the Final Fantasy VII logo on it, it’s being released once again on Blu-ray.
Since LittleBigPlanet getting pushed back means that my PS3 will primarily be used as a DVD player for awhile, it’s a sure bet that I will be picking this up. Having this movie on Blu-ray is certainly a good reason to own a PS3, but not as good as, say, another Final Fantasy game. I’m just saying, Squenix.
