While 44 of the 45 songs shipping with The Beatles: Rock Band have already been revealed, Harmonix has been trying to keep the last melody a secret for the game’s launch. Of course, in the video game industry, keeping anything under wraps is damn near impossible, and today it appears that the final track has been revealed via the internets. If you were looking forward to finding out what the song is in game, don’t read on ahead, as you may be in for a spoiler.

The 45th song in The Beatles: Rock Band is, according to the image below, “The End”.



Honestly, this caught me by surprise. I was expected, more than anything else, “Hey Jude”. “The End” is a bit of a strange choice to keep a secret, but hey, it will make a good closer, and anything from Abbey Road is certainly welcome. This hasn’t been confirmed and Harmonix, of course, is not commenting on the matter. While I didn’t expect this to stay a secret until next Wednesday, I must compliment on Harmonix for managing to keep it under wraps this long, something that many companies in this industry are incapable of doing (I’m looking at you, Sony). So what’s the verdict, is anyone happy? Surprised? Disappointed? Because as you know, in the end, the love you take is equal to… well, you know.
