Fix Incoming for Darksiders Screen Tearing

Or You Could Just Play it on the PS3

by Sarah

Darksiders, one of the first games to be released in the new year, has already proven itself to be a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, the 360 version of the game suffered from some technical difficulties, most notably the oft-reported screen tearing. According to creator Joe Madureira, the developers are aware of the issue, and are already working on a fix. Speaking with IGN, Madureira stated “It's something that's really not a difficult fix for us and so we're going to implement a patch to resolve the problem. We're fairly certain it'll happen really soon so look out for it.”

While I hate to see games released with technical problems such as these, at least Vigil Games is taking the proper steps to fix the situation relatively quickly. It’s a shame that the development studio’s first title, which is a pretty good game, was overshadowed by an issue that should be been removed at the testing stage. Hopefully, as Madureira said, the screen tearing will be repaired quickly and painlessly, so that owners of the 360 version of Darksiders can fully appreciate it.

Waiting for the patch to buy it. Good to hear they're doing something about it, instead of trying to cover it up or pretending it's not an issue.
