As if being too dumb and out of shape wasn’t bad enough, the folks at Nintendo now want you to know that you’re not a good enough son or daughter. You know what could rectify that, though? Getting your mom something really nifty for Mother’s Day, which is less than two weeks away. Hey, I know! Why not pick up this sweet lime green DS bundle, complete with a “hip carrying case” and Personal Trainer: Cooking?

Yes, the long-rumored green DS is finally a reality, and better yet, it’s coming soon—as in, this Sunday. Nintendo’s press release was eager to remind us all that it will be here one week before Mother’s Day, and “Just like everyone else, moms are always looking for new and interesting meal ideas.” I think my mom would rather have her kids cook for her, but hey, that’s just my family. I don’t think this is a bad idea, necessarily; I actually got my mother a DS for Mother’s Day two years ago, and she has loved it ever since. I just don’t know what kind of message Personal Trainer: Cooking is sending on this particular holiday. Is it “Mom, your cooking kind of sucks”, or “Happy Mother’s Day, can I get some dinner”?

At any rate, you can pick up your lime green bundle on Sunday, whether or not you’re buying it for a special mother in your life. We asked our friends at GameStop, and they are surprisingly not taking reserves on the system, so I’d recommend getting to the store first thing Sunday if you want one.
