Heavy Rain DLC Will Make You the Origami Killer
Downloadable Content Will Expand the Story After Game's Release
by Sarah

The closer we get to the release of Heavy Rain, the more excited I get to finally play the full game. I'm still not entirely sure what to make of it, nor can I squeeze it into any pre-existing gaming genre, but damn, it is one of the most intriguing games coming out in the near future. Developer Quantic Dream previously stated that there would be downloadable content for Heavy Rain, but now we're finding out what at least one episode will be all about--a chance to take the role of the Origami Killer, the serial murderer the four protagonists of Heavy Rain are trying to stop.
Considering the serious and realistic tone of the game, this could be some of the most disturbing DLC ever. I'm curious about whether it will be a prequel of sorts, or take place parallel to the events of the game. Another episode of downloadable content will explain druggie FBI agent Norman Jayden's backstory a bit more, and I'm sure that if sales allow it, we'll see even more of the story unfold after the game is complete. I know it's usually a big "no no" to announce DLC before a game comes out, but in this case, I'm actually pretty happy about it. It's good to know that the story won't be over when the credits roll.
