Heavy Rain: The Movie Coming From New Line Cinema?
Movie Studio Options the Rights to the Interactive Gaming Experience
by Sarah

Heavy Rain hasn't even been out a week yet, but the internet is already filled with varying opinions on Quantic Dream's unique gaming experience. Some people loved it, some hated it, and some are in between. One of the complaints seems to be that Heavy Rain feels less like a game, and more like an interactive movie. Perhaps because of this, New Line Cinema has optioned the rights to Heavy Rain, so if a film adaptation should ever come along, they will be the studio to make it.
This doesn't mean we'll see a Heavy Rain movie in theaters anytime soon, or possibly ever, only that the possibility exists. I had a chance to play through Heavy Rain this weekend and I have to say that I liked it a lot, and found it to be very intense. However, a lot of that intensity comes from the choices you make, since they carry so much weight in the game; I'm not sure if that feeling would correctly transfer over to a movie. Would you see a Heavy Rain movie, or would you rather it just remain a game? While we're on the subject, now that Heavy Rain is out, share your feelings in the comments section, because we're all really curious about the reaction of the gaming community. Try to avoid spoilers.

I'd watch it. Hell, I already sort of did.
Let's hope they fill in some of the gaping plot-holes, and also cast American actors. I'm from Philadelphia, and I promise you, no one in the game has a clue what Philadelphians, or any Americans for that matter, sound like.
