It's hard to resist the charm of Xbox Live Arcade indie title I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES 1NIT!!!1, despite the fact that simply attempting to type the title makes me want to kill myself. Killing zombies is always a good time, and when you throw in quirky, grammatically incorrect humor and stick a dollar price tag on it, it's hard to miss. With the sales numbers just released for XBLA indie games in 2009, it's become clear that the Gamervision office was not the only one entralled with the ridiculous game. With 160,000 units sold, I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES 1NIT!!!1 netted a profit of over a hundred grand--not bad for developer Jamezilla.

Hopefully the indie game community will continue to move forward in 2010, and we'll see more unique, bizarre, and sometimes creepy low budget games perfectly priced at a dollar or two each.
