With the North American launch of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey only a few weeks away, publisher Atlus has released a new trailer for the DS game. It's fairly short and doesn't show us anything that we didn't already know, but it does help to set the tone for the science fiction role-playing game. The South Pole setting is unique for the Shin Megami Tensei series, since most of the other SMT games were set in Japan, but the demons and character abilities should be familar to longtime fans.

Like I've said before, Atlus completely won me over with the last two Persona games, so I'll pretty much play anything with the Shin Megami Tensei name on it. Last year's Devil Survivor, the first SMT game on the DS, was pretty good, and the early look I got at Strange Journey also seemed promising. Hopefully it will be a fun, unique experience in a month jam-packed with RPGs.
