More excellent news has just arrived from Sony’s PlayStation Day, this time courtesy of Joystiq. Hot on the heels of all kinds of exciting news and previews from the hundreds of thousands of upcoming PS3 exclusive games, David Reeves dropped this bombshell: Killzone 2, previously thought to have a Fall 2008 release date, has been delayed until February 2009.

Killzone 2 is one of several PS3 exclusives that gamers were looking forward to playing this year, so no doubt there is going to be a lot of disappointment over this news… hold on a second. Didn’t I just write this article? I’m fairly certain that I did. Just cross out LittleBigPlanet and write in Killzone 2, and you pretty much know the whole story. At least Sony was nice enough to show this video, which you can watch in the meantime. I’m sure that will tide you over for the next 10 months.
