Left 4 Dead Crash Course Experiencing Glitches

More Buggy Than a Rotting Corpse

by Sarah

While I was in San Francisco earlier this week, Left 4 Dead’s newest DLC, the Crash Course campaign, was made available for download. I couldn’t wait to get home and play it, but I was greeted with some unsettling news this morning: Crash Course is all kinds of glitchy. Originally brought to my attention by NickDynmo via Twitter, I questioned the community about the issue, trying to find out more.

Apparently there are some glitches affecting many 360 owners who downloaded Crash Course, most commonly a detrimental amount of collision detection issues. Users are reporting characters walking through solid objects, zombies attacking through walls, and similar problems. A search of the Left 4 Dead forums revealed additional glitches concerning the new achievements for this DLC, in which they either reset or simply won’t unlock when you complete the required task.

We have contacted Valve to see how widespread the problem actually is and whether or not a fix is underway, but in the meantime, we want to hear from you. Have any of you downloaded Crash Course and experienced horrible glitches? If so, let us know which version you’re playing (PC or 360) and what bugs you have encountered. We’ll keep you posted when we hear back from Valve.

Definitely looking to get back into L4D, but I'll wait for the bugs to get worked out. Since it's Valve and on the 360, I assume it will be about three months.
