When Valve announced Left 4 Dead 2 at E3 last month, I was thrilled. Some people, though, were upset, taking the news as a sign that Valve would abandon the original Left 4 Dead only a year after release—a very uncharacteristic move for the publisher. Valve countered the silly protests by promising continued support for Left 4 Dead even after L4D2 releases this November, and I have no reason not to believe them. Even more promising is the assurance from Valve that they will have news about more L4D DLC by the end of summer.

Yes, this is a news article about an announcement that hasn’t actually happened yet, but I don’t care. It’s Left 4 Dead, and I honestly never get sick of it, so the more DLC the better. I just hope that the news applies to both the 360 and PC versions of the game. Stay tuned for more in the next month or two, when the information actually drops.
