Left 4 Dead DLC Will Be Free
Survival Pack Hitting 360 and PC This Spring
by Sarah

Last week, Valve announced that Gamervision’s 2008 Multiplayer Game and Shooter of the Year, Left 4 Dead, would be getting some sweet DLC in the spring. Personally, I didn’t even care what was included in the downloadable content; I just figured that I would grab it as soon as it became available, no matter what the cost. However, I’ve got a little something to make that Survival DLC even sweeter: it won’t cost a thing. That’s right, Valve decided to be awesome as usual, and as such the 360 and PC content will be absolutely free.
In case you didn’t catch the news (maybe you were in New York at Comic Con all weekend?), the DLC will add a new Survival mode to the game, as well as (finally) adding the Dead Air and Death Toll campaigns to Versus Mode. The only bad thing I can find in this whole deal is that it won’t be available in time for this weekend’s Left 4 Dead Community Event. However, this does guarantee that I will still be playing Left 4 Dead this spring, and probably well into the summer. It’s the zombie apocalypse that just keeps on giving.

too bad this won't be up in time for our officially sanctioned Xbox Live Event this Sunday at 8PM. I'm sure everyone here would have loved to play Left 4 Dead's new maps with Gamervision on Sunday at 8PM.
Yeah, too bad no one plugged that event in the article. OH WAIT.
Awesome news!
Yes! Nice move by Valve, now they have more fans :)
I'm stoked, but where's my GOLD RUSH, Valve?
I love you valve!!!
Free makes everything better! Also, who the hell is that in the picture? I can't seem to identify.
