LittleBigPlanet Celebrates a Million User Levels

Ever since LittleBigPlanet launched last October, user-created levels have continually impressed me. Sure, some of them are ill-conceived, broken, or just plain boring, but many others are creative and wonderful, and have extended the replay value of the game for me indefinitely. Media Molecule, the game’s developer, announced that the number of LittleBigPlanet community levels has just surpassed one million! To celebrate, they put together a little video displaying just a few impressive user boards.
That actually made me want to go home and play LittleBigPlanet right now, as well as reminding me that I’ve never actually completed a level worthy of sharing with the community at large. Maybe someday. I can’t help but wonder if that million number includes the levels taken down by Sony for reasons that were never fully explained. At any rate, congratulations, Media Molecule, and here’s hoping for a million more.
