Media Molecule Promises Continued LittleBigPlanet Support With New Costumes
Reveals a Few Details About LBP PSP
by Sarah

With LittleBigPlanet for the PSP being announced this week, fans of Media Molecule’s masterpiece have something to be cautiously optimistic about. Although a handheld installment of the do-it-yourself platformer has been whispered about since before the game even launched on the PS3 last year, there haven’t been too many details about what the PSP version would entail. And… there still aren’t. However, one thing Media Molecule is saying in the PlayStation blog is that, despite LittleBigPlanet PSP being awesome and exciting, they will continue to support the PS3 game:
As if to show just how supportive they are, they also posted a few images of upcoming DLC. One of these costumes is the Heavenly Sword Nariko get-up that was previously a pre-order gift at some retailers. However, she is now joined by the wonderful (and mildly insane) Kai. Twing twang! Other costumes include Killzone and Buzz! skins. They’re pretty awesome, but still not awesome enough for me to pay for. As for LittleBigPlanet on the PSP, hey, I’d be lying if I said I’m not excited. We won’t find out until later this year whether or not the handheld version can measure up to the original. In the meantime, check out the rest of the upcoming DLC below.
By now, I’m sure you have all heard the great news that LittleBigPlanet will be coming to the PSP this Fall! Building the game from the ground up, fans can expect new SackBoy adventures with the same play, create and share experience made just for gamers on-the-go — not to mention, brand new levels and environments — all of which are being created specifically for the PSP!
For those of you who may be concerned that the development of the PlayStation Portable game will detract Media Molecule’s attention from the ongoing support and enhancement of LittleBigPlanet on PLAYSTATION 3, let me reassure you that the PSP version of the game is being primarily looked after by Sony’s development studio in Cambridge, England leaving Media Molecule free to continue as they have been doing.
