If you can get it to work, the downloadable content released thus far for 2008 RPG of the Year Fallout 3 has been pretty solid, with fans of the game eagerly awaiting more. Unfortunately for PS3 owners, all of the DLC has been Microsoft exclusive, so only 360 and PC gamers have gotten to experience “Operation Anchorage”, “The Pitt”, and “Broken Steel.” Well, that’s all about to change, because not only is more DLC coming to all platforms, but the last three Fallout 3 DLC packs are being made available for the PS3.

First things first, let’s talk about the next two installments of Fallout 3 DLC, as detailed in Bethesda’s press release:

• Point Lookout – Explore a massive new swampland area filled with new quests and content.
• Mothership Zeta – The aliens have returned, and they’re pissed. Experience an alien abduction first hand and find out if you’re tough enough to survive.

“Point Lookout” will be ten bucks and will hit the 360  and PC in late June, with PS3 owners getting it after the rest of the DLC is released. “Mothership Zeta” will be the same price, and will be available in late July on the 360 and PC, while the PS3 will see it sometime after “Point Lookout”.

For PS3 owners wondering when they can start expanding their Fallout 3 universe, you will be able to get “Operation Anchorage” in late June, with “The Pitt” and “Broken Steel” launching 4-6 weeks apart. By that schedule, one might guess that the PS3 will get downloadable content for Fallout 3 once a month or so for five months, which isn’t bad. The wait it almost over, guys. Sony fanboys rejoice!
