More Left 4 Dead DLC Coming September
New Maps Add Co-op and Versus Gameplay
by Sarah

Remember how Valve promised not only to continue supporting Left 4 Dead after the announcement of L4D2, but that we would also hear more news about L4D DLC by the end of summer? Well, once again the publisher has made good on its promises, and the official announcement of more additional content came today via press release. “Crash Course” will offer new maps for both co-op and versus gameplay, and will also take place between “No Mercy” and “Death Toll”. Valve promises more story, more dialogue, and “an explosive finale”.
While the idea of a new campaign excites me the most, Valve is looking to streamline the Versus mode with "Crash Course". From the press release:
While containing both Survival maps and a Co-operative Campaign, the primary goal of "Crash" is to deliver a complete Versus mode experience in just 30 minutes, resulting in a streamlined version of the game's existing Versus campaigns. A recharge timer for infected teammates has also been added, and item spawn behavior has changed for more balanced gameplay.
The bad news is that though the extra content will be free for PC, Xbox 360 owners will have to pay 560
, which I’m almost entirely sure is Microsoft’s doing, not Valve’s. Still, I’ll pick this up for seven bucks without a second thought. I’ve been playing Left 4 Dead somewhat regularly since Survival Mode was made available, and I’m sure this will have everyone hyped up again until the release of Left 4 Dead 2. I’m sure the protesters are already bitching and moaning about the seven dollar 360 charge, but for most fans of the series, this is super good news.

can't wait, we're going to be switching between l4d and l4d2
This almost makes me want to pickup a copy again. ALMOST. Most of my friends are done with this game so I'm probably waiting till November for L4D2.
why DLC right before a new game is going to hit?
