With the shipping date of Fable II only a week away, a new website devoted to the game has launched to tide gamers over until they can get their hands on the actual game. Like most game websites, this one has screenshots, info, and other marketing materials related to Fable II. However, what makes this site a little different is the ability to win in-game items (or just cold, hard gold) by either playing a mini-game or watching an interactive puppet show.

"A Hero’s Tale" is sort of a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure story set in the Fable universe. It’s actually funny and enjoyable; an acceptable way to kill some time, especially since you get to choose which way the story goes. There’s also a ridiculously stupid game called “Chicken Kickin”, which is exactly what it sounds like, and for some reason I simply could not stop playing it. My efforts were not in vain, though, as I got enough points to earn 1000 gold to use in Fable II next week. Now I don’t feel so bad for having skipped the Pub Games entirely.
