New Guitar Hero: Aerosmith Info

Assuming Anyone Out There Actually Cares

by Sarah

Remember Guitar Hero? It’s that thing you used to love before mediocre DLC, the inclusion of Battle Mode, and the launch of Rock Band soured the whole experience for you. Well, Activision’s in denial about all of that, and keep insisting that Guitar Hero is still young and hip. The proof? Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, due out this summer.

Activision announced some new information about the upcoming spin-off, which will reportedly follow Aerosmith’s long-running career. Apparently, Boston’s Orpheum Theatre will be one of the venues in the game, and five songs have been announced for that particular place:

Aerosmith – “Living on the Edge”
Aerosmith – “Ragdoll”
Aerosmith – “Love in an Elevator”
The Clash – “Complete Control”
New York Dolls – “Personality Crisis”

Aerosmith songs in an Aerosmith game? Shocking! I know I’ll end up trying this game out in the long run, but I think there’s very little Activision can do at this point to persuade me to ever buy a Guitar Hero game on day one again. Then again, they could always release something to sway me, like Guitar Hero: David Bowie, Journey, and Alanis Morissette. It could happen.

Has anyone noticed that the guys in Aerosmith are the same ages as your
