Let’s cut right to the chase: Lego Batman is pretty much guaranteed to be completely awesome. You’ve got Legos, which are really neat, and Batman, one of the greatest superheroes of all time (and, it must be said, way cooler than Superman). If you don’t believe me, just check out the trailer for yourselves.



While there’s still no official release date for the game, it’s scheduled to make an appearance during third quarter 2008, which is officially not soon enough. It appears that you’ll be able to play not only as the Dark Knight, but as the bad guys as well. Harley Quinn, here I come!

Seeing all those familiar faces in Lego form, both good and evil, just makes my heart melt. I don’t even know what it is about the transition to Lego that makes any franchise feel new and exciting again, but it works every time. I cannot wait to get my hands on this one.
