Well, this just about made my night. After months, maybe even years, of rumors, it's finally been confirmed that the Oddworld series is going to continue at some point in the foreseeable future. Developer Just Add Water will be working on "multiple projects, across multiple platforms... starring all of your favorite Oddworld characters," and that Lorne Lanning, the creator of the series, would be on board for these mysterious projects. That's about all we know for now, but hey, it's enough for me.

I know you didn't ask, but I'm going to tell you what I want anyway: another incredibly intelligent and challenging game in the same vein as Abe's Oddysee. At any rate, I'll be glad to see this franchise revisited, and I hope the development team can show a new generation of gamers why Abe was such a beloved video game character a decade ago. We'll keep you posted when more news leaks out.
