Well, now that we’ve hit this point in the year, the new releases are going to take twice as long to write due to the sheer number of games coming out at all times. Oh sure, they’re not all going to be games you actually want to play, but there’s a lot of them all the same. Four Littlest Pet Shop games? Not overkill at all. The Bratz are here to let you know that Girls Really Rock, and nothing says “rock” like “dressing up like a whore.”  Rock Revolution, the poor (or deaf) man’s Rock Band, is hitting the 360 and PS3, and some more TV shows that never needed video game incarnations are getting them. Win!

On a more serious note, there is some promising stuff this week, so I hope you weren’t too attached to that paycheck. Dead Space is looking pretty good, and Saints Row 2, while not a replacement for Grand Theft Auto, seems like it can hold its own in the gameplay department. Fans of the SOCOM series will finally get their next-gen installment on the PS3, EA is keeping the sports games coming with FIFA Soccer 2009, and Sam & Max Season One is finally coming out for the Wii. Let the good times roll.
