New Releases Week of 10.19.08
What is and What Should Never Be

Yeah, so, about those new releases. I had this whole super excited post planned out in my head, the one where I cast aside sarcasm and negativity in light of the fact that this is one of the biggest weeks in game releases this year. In addition to Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Far Cry 2, Fable II, and a slew of other games, this week was supposed to mark the long-awaited release of PS3-exclusive title LittleBigPlanet. However, as you may have read, that didn’t really work out so well.
I could look on the bright side to all of this; after all, I’m still picking up Fable II, and now I may even have time to play it. However, the world just seems a little emptier without LittleBigPlanet here. I was so looking forward to finally, finally, FINALLY having my very own copy of the full game, and now I have to wait for some indeterminate time in the future. At least we’ve still got Wii Music.

However Im waiting for the 28th for FALLOUT 3 !!!
Im waiting on Fable 2 only because they promised the world last time around and all I got was fenced in linear game-play. I loved the story though. Once it's positively reviewed I may pick it up, but I don't want to be following a straight line again.
to QMarc80: I think web of shadows has the chance to be one of the better spider-man games, I would keep an eye on it, especially if you are a comic fan.
i would wait on reviews Q and then possibly rent it. I am a bit skeptical on Spiderman games as I think most if not all of them have been terrible.

Oh, Fable II, you might be as linear as your original title. So I don't have much interest in empty promises. Sad day when gaming doesn't promise good tidings.
I have hope for the Spiderman game. I will wait and see what my peers write about it and go from there.
@Jpage: I feel EXACTLY the same way about Fable II The first was, without a doubt, one of the biggest letdowns on the original Xbox.
I'm going to pick up Fable II and Far Cry 2....once exams are over!
EB GAMES here I come.
Booo! I preordered my copy of LBP only to come up disappointed! that sucks! Oh well... I guess that means that I actually have to study!
