Yesterday, Microsoft held a press event focusing on their upcoming Japanese RPGs. No, that’s not a typo; there are actually a number of JRPGs coming to Microsoft’s shooter-heavy console in the not-so-distant future. One such game is Star Ocean 4, which we’ve been keeping an eye on since it was announced last year. Previously thought to be a PS3 exclusive (given that almost all of the previous Star Ocean games appeared only on Sony systems), but apparently that’s not the case. Check out this new trailer for more.



Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope, as it is now called, will be set a few centuries before the first Star Ocean and will be available on the 360 sometime in 2009. No word on a PS3 release date yet, but my guess would be around the same time. Man, I really need to brush up on my Star Ocean games before this one comes out.
