New Yggdra Union PSP Screenshots
Yes, Another Atlus Tactical Game
by Sarah
As you may or may not know, Atlus is remaking their 2006 Game Boy Advance strategy RPG Yggdra Union for the PSP. The game is set to come out next month in the U.S., and will feature enhanced graphics, a new difficulty mode, and a rebuilt battle system. Atlus’s recent tactical games have been sort of hit-or-miss, but this one looks a little more promising based on the screenshots they sent over today.

According to Atlus, gamers can look forward to “card-based combat, an epic story with multiple endings, widescreen support, dual-language voice tracks, and more!” Operation Darkness made me hungry for a solid strategy RPG, but didn’t quite deliver the top-notch experience that I wanted. The GBA version of the game got fairly decent reviews, so hopefully the PSP one will be even better. I’m not sure how I feel about card-based combat, but I’m willing to give it a try. We’ll find out when the review copy arrives, so stay tuned to Gamervision if you want to know more.

Dude, PSP is continuously becoming the spot to put tactical RPG's. I'm getting pissed. They just keep giving us reasons to own one, but I can't get myself to take the dive.
Gotta say, though, the mixture of simple 2d sprites and hand-drawn characters is mighty sexy.
Also: Atlus uses too many words that are impossible to pronounce. Srsly, Yggdra!? WTF!?
@raccoonacorn: take the plunge! you won't regret it. i LOVE my PSP.
I gotta say, I am loving my PSP also.
the PSP is really starting to piss me off, its like daily its tormenting me and pushing me closer to dropping the bones for it.
