Nickelodeon to Expand Game Library
Sportacus! Your Time to Shine!

When I was a kid, Nickelodeon was the bee’s knees. They had an awesome line-up of cartoons, game shows, and live-action TV shows that, quite frankly, rocked. Most of them still hold up today. These days, however, there’s not a whole lot left on Nickelodeon to still hold an adult’s interest (with the exception of Lazytown, which is revered in the Gamervision office, though no one really knows why). However, apparently children still like what they have to offer, and Nickelodeon is expanding its hold over the demographic by adding 1,600 Flash games to its website.
The network already has about 5,000 games on the interwebs that are used by about 20 million gamers a month, including Neopets and Nicktropolis. The company is also planning to create three more child-friendly, web-based massively multiplayer online games. What? Did I hear a Lazytown MMO?! No? Oh. Well, you should really get on that, Nickelodeon. After all, moving gives you energy.

I always thought you should stay away from downloadable games available on kids sites. I heard these sites were a breeding ground for hackers and viruses....
That is a huge jump, and I am happy to see it. Their quality in show may go down, but anything getting kids hooked on games early is fine in my book.
