Ninja Gaiden Wii a Possibility
Developer Yosuke Hayashi May Be Considering It
by Sarah
With Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword launching on the Nintendo DS last week to favorable reviews, the team behind the game is already thinking about what’s next. At the launch event for Dragon Sword at the Nintendo World Store last week, the game’s development director, Yosuke Hayashi, was readily available to sign autographs and discuss what might be next for Team Ninja.
While he stated that there is “a very good possibility” that Dragon Sword would see a DS sequel, he also made it clear that the Ninja Gaiden team is thinking about something entirely different. More specifically, it’s feasible that a Ninja Gaiden game on the Wii might be an option. Hayashi stated that many fans of the series were interested in seeing an incarnation on Nintendo’s motion-sensing machine. Although he didn’t give any more information about this potential project, he did say that it was something he was “very interested” in.
While I never got into the Ninja Gaiden series (I prefer pirates, sorry), I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing a franchise known for being intense and bloody on the Wii. It would help the system become more well-rounded, instead of being known only as a family-friendly mini-game machine. No More Heroes already showed that the Wii is capable of housing something a little more mature; hopefully Team Ninja will follow this trend and bring the Ninja Gaiden series to the Wii.

Nice, finally some variety! I didn't think I'd ever say this, but I'm just so bored with all the 1st person shooters with the Wiimote.
If they can fix the swordplay flaws that plagued Red Steel, i might be down for this.
